In May 2026, five departments including the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the "Notice on Carrying Out a Three-Year Action Plan for Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Transformation in Key Industries" (Development and Reform Commission Environmental Resources [2026] No. 698), clearly stating that nine industries including steel and coal power will be the focus, and energy conservation and carbon reduction transformation will be comprehensively implemented within three years. The coal-fired power industry has been listed as one of the key areas for breakthroughs. It is required to promote the renewal and upgrading of energy-consuming equipment such as boilers, pumps and steam turbines, implement energy-saving and carbon-reduction renovations of coal-fired power units, and carry out efficient regulation capacity renovations such as fast regulation, deep regulation and wide load regulation.

The policy objective is clear: By the end of 2028, the proportion of coal-fired power industry capacity reaching the current energy efficiency benchmark level is expected to increase by 15 percentage points, and a cumulative energy savings of over 100 million tons of standard coal and a carbon dioxide reduction of over 200 million tons will be achieved.

This means that "in the next three years, there will be a concentrated increase in the volume of thermal power transformation." One of the core supports for the transformation is precisely the key valve equipment.

Ii. Heating Renovation: Ultra-supercritical high-temperature and high-pressure valves have passed practical tests

Policies are promoting energy-saving and carbon-reduction renovations of coal-fired power units, with heating renovations being a key direction among them.

In April 2026, Viti successfully won the EPC project of the first phase of the industrial steam supply transformation of Guoneng Lingwu, providing key valve equipment for the heating transformation of 2×1000MW ultra-supercritical air-cooled units.

The working conditions of this project are extremely strict: the working temperature is 608℃, the pressure is 5.67MPa, the piping material is A335P92 high-temperature resistant steel, and the valves are required to be forged as a whole. All the electric shut-off valves, pneumatic check valves and hydraulic quick-closing control valves supplied by Viti are integrally forged from F92 material, featuring bidirectional sealing with zero leakage. The closing time of the pneumatic check valve is ≤0.5 seconds.

Iii. Deep Peak Shaving: Recirculation valves ensure equipment reliability

The policy requires the implementation of high-efficiency regulation capacity renovations for coal-fired power units, including fast regulation, deep regulation, and wide load regulation. Under deep peak shaving conditions, the opening and closing frequency of the recirculation valve of the feed water pump increases significantly, causing severe erosion damage.

The minimum flow recirculation valve of Viti's feed water pump adopts a multi-stage pressure reduction structure principle of circulating convection, effectively avoiding cavitation and erosion. The internal components of the valve can be quickly disassembled and replaced, making maintenance extremely convenient. The valve core and valve sleeve have excellent anti-clogging and anti-jamming performance, enabling rapid opening and closing at small openings and reducing erosion and cavitation.
