The valve selection principles corresponding to different media are as follows:
Water (normal temperature and low pressure) : Gate valves or butterfly valves are preferred as they are cost-effective and have low flow resistance. The soft-sealed butterfly valves of Viti Valves are widely used in water treatment projects.
Steam (high temperature and high pressure) : A stop valve or bellows sealed gate valve must be used to avoid the risk of leakage. Vitti's bellows stop valve is a mature solution for power station steam pipelines.
Oil products (flammable media) : Ball valves or hard-sealed butterfly valves are recommended for their fast emergency shut-off speed. Viti's fireproof ball valves (API 607 certified) are suitable for oil storage and transportation.
