What are the structural advantages of butterfly valves?

The core technology of the Viti butterfly valve lies in its unique three-eccentric geometric structure. This design fundamentally changes the opening and closing method of traditional butterfly valves, achieving a major technological innovation.

1. Completely eliminate friction and greatly extend service life: Through three-dimensional eccentricity (the valve shaft is located behind the valve seat sealing surface, deviating from the pipeline centerline, and the sealing cone axis deviates from the valve shaft centerline), it ensures that the butterfly plate disengages from the valve seat at the moment of opening, and there is no friction throughout the opening and closing process. Compared with traditional valves, this design avoids the wear and scratch of the sealing pair, significantly extending the service life under frequent operating conditions.

2. Bidirectional zero leakage, achieving "tight seal" : The three eccentric structure combined with metal hard seal, due to the CAM effect, the sealing pair is pressed tighter and tighter when closed, ensuring zero leakage. It has solved the common problem of valves not closing tightly and being prone to internal leakage in environments with high flow rates and high erosion. It even outperforms most traditional gate valves, truly achieving a tight and thorough closure.

3. Small operating torque and excellent regulating performance: Due to the frictionless opening and closing and the smooth CAM effect of the eccentric shaft design, the operating torque required for the valve is greatly reduced. The Viti butterfly valve also features an approximately equal percentage flow characteristic, enabling it to function both as a on-off valve and to control the medium flow very sensitively. It can largely replace Globe type control valves to achieve cost optimization.
