In the field of fluid control, the quality of valves not only affects production efficiency but also directly relates to industrial safety and environmental compliance. The performance of a valve under harsh working conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, corrosion and erosion often depends on four core dimensions: whether the material selection is appropriate, whether the sealing process is reliable, whether the wear resistance is excellent, and whether the leakage prevention ability is strong.
Viti Fluid Control, relying on the precision manufacturing genes passed down from its establishment in 1932, has established systematic technological advantages in these four dimensions. Here is a detailed analysis for you one by one.
I. Material Selection: Define reliability from the source
The lifespan and safety of valves largely depend on the correct selection of materials and quality control. Viti adheres to three strict standards in material selection:
1. Strict supplier access
Viti only selects high-quality raw materials from well-known domestic and foreign steel enterprises. Each batch requires the provision of a material quality guarantee certificate and undergoes re-inspection upon entry to the factory.
2. Precise material selection based on working conditions
The requirements for materials vary greatly under different working conditions. The Viti technical team precisely matches the most suitable material based on the medium's temperature, pressure, corrosiveness, and particle content.
| Working condition type | Recommended material | Advantage description |
|---|---|---|
| High-temperature and high-pressure steam | F91 / F92 / titanium alloy | Resistant to high-temperature creep and steam oxidation |
| Strong acid and alkali corrosive media | Hastelloy/Monel/duplex stainless steel/fluorine-lined | Outstanding chemical corrosion resistance |
| High-wear media containing particles | Zirconia/silicon carbide ceramics | The hardness exceeds HRC80 and it has extremely strong resistance to erosion |
| Low-temperature working condition | Austenitic stainless steel/low-temperature steel (LCB/LCC) | Resistant to low-temperature brittle fracture |
3. The entire process is traceable
Each main pressure-bearing component of Viti valve is marked with a unique furnace number. From the raw materials entering the warehouse to the finished products leaving the factory, the entire process is traceable, ensuring that any problem in any link can be precisely located and quickly closed.

Ii. Sealing Process: From "Zero Leakage" to "Zero Escape"
Sealing is the core function of valves and also the performance indicator that customers pay the most attention to. Viti has developed a multi-level and differentiated technical route in sealing processes.
For high-temperature, high-pressure, granular media and other applications where soft seals are not allowed, Viti adopts a hard alloy surfacing welding process:
Process features: Superhard materials such as cobalt-based alloy (stellite) and tungsten carbide are surfacing on the sealing surface between the valve seat and the valve core
Performance advantages: Scratch-resistant, erosion-resistant, heat-resistant, with hardness up to HRC55-62
Sealing grade: Up to API 598, ISO 5208 A grade (zero visible leakage)
Representative products: Triple eccentric metal hard seal butterfly valve, high-temperature and high-pressure stop valve
For application scenarios with medium temperature and medium pressure and non-granular media, Vitel offers a combined design of a metal main seal and a soft secondary seal
Working principle: When there is a trace leakage at the metal sealing surface, the medium is effectively intercepted by the soft sealing ring
Performance advantages: The static pressure life test can reach 10,000 opening and closing cycles without leakage, and it has a high cost performance
Applicable scenarios: Conventional industrial pipelines such as gas, oil products, and water treatment
For valves transporting toxic, flammable and explosive media, Viti fully implements the ISO 15848 low emission certification requirements:
Valve stem seal: Low-leakage packing groups combined with live load bolts are continuously tightened to eliminate leakage channels caused by packing relaxation
Valve body sealing: Utilizing wound gaskets or lens gaskets + precisely machined sealing surfaces to ensure zero leakage at static sealing points
Certification level: Up to AH grade (helium leakage rate ≤10⁻⁶ mg/(s·m))
For extreme working conditions where high wear and strong corrosion coexist, Viti ceramic valves adopt a hard sealing structure of "all-ceramic ball core + all-ceramic valve seat"
Process features: Both the ball core and the valve seat are made of high-performance structural ceramics (zirconia/silicon carbide), which are precisely ground and matched
Performance advantages: It combines the ultra-high hardness and chemical inertness of ceramics, and its service life is several to dozens of times that of metal valves
In working conditions with solid particles, high flow rates and high erosion, ordinary valves often experience leakage, jamming or even failure within a few months or even weeks. Viti significantly enhances the wear resistance and durability of valves through the following technical approaches.
Under high-pressure differential conditions, high-speed fluid scouring and flash vapor erosion are the number one killers of valve failure. The labyrinth sleeve structure independently developed by Viti
Working principle: The single high-pressure drop is decomposed into dozens of stepwise pressure drops, enabling the fluid to flow smoothly in the labyrinth flow channel
Anti-cavitation effect: Eliminate or greatly reduce flash evaporation and cavitation phenomena, protecting the valve core and valve seat from impact damage
Service life: Compared with ordinary single-stage pressure reducing valves, the service life is extended by 3 to 5 times
For high-wear working conditions such as coal chemical industry, slurry, and silicon chemical industry, the flow-through components of Viti ceramic valves are comprehensively made of structural ceramics.
The inner wall of the valve body, the ball core, the valve seat, and even the end face of the connecting flange are all lined with ceramics
Hardness advantage: The hardness of ceramics (HRC85+) far exceeds that of common metals (HRC30-40) and even hard alloys (HRC55-62).
Corrosion resistance advantage: Chemically inert, resistant to almost all acids, alkalis and organic solvents
Vitet's flash Angle valves and wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant ball valves are made with globally unique special base materials and processing techniques:
Performance verification: After 2880 hours of dilute sulfuric acid extreme test, it successfully broke the foreign technological monopoly
Application fields: It is suitable for complex working conditions where there is both strong corrosion and solid particle erosion, such as titanium dioxide production and hydrometallurgy
Valve leakage is classified into internal leakage (through the sealing surface) and external leakage (through the connection points such as packing and gaskets). Viti has established systematic control systems in both aspects.
| Causes of internal leakage | Vittey solution |
|---|---|
| Wear of the sealing surface | Hard alloy surfacing/ceramic hard seal |
| Corrosion of the sealing surface | Hastelloy/duplex stainless steel/ceramic |
| Cavitation damage | Labyrinth sleeve multi-stage voltage reduction structure |
| Impurities stuck | Self-cleaning design (such as the shearing function of V-type ball valves) |
| External leakage point | Vittey solution |
|---|---|
| Valve stem packing | The low-leakage packing group and live load bolts are continuously tightened |
| Valve body and valve cover | Precision machined sealing surface + winding gasket/lens gasket + controllable bolt torque |
| Actuator connection | Integrated bracket design + double sealing rings |
| Middle flange | Fully welded through structure (optional |
Before each Viti valve leaves the factory, it must go through the following inspection procedures:
Shell strength test: 1.5 times the nominal pressure, maintaining the pressure for sufficient time
High-pressure sealing test: 1.1 times the nominal pressure to test the performance of the main seal
Low-pressure gas sealing test: 0.6MPa compressed air, to test the sealing performance under low pressure
Low emission detection (as required) : Helium mass spectrometry leak detection, with a leakage rate in compliance with ISO 15848 requirements
| "Dimension" | Core technology | Customer value |
|---|---|---|
| Material selection | Strict supplier access control + material selection based on working conditions + full traceability throughout the process | Ensure quality from the source and eliminate material risks |
| Sealing process | Hard alloy surfacing/double sealing/low dissipation packing/ceramic hard sealing | Zero leakage or slight leakage, meeting the dual requirements of safety and environmental protection |
| Wear-resistant and durable | Labyrinth sleeve pressure reduction/Fully lined ceramic/Special base material | Its service life far exceeds that of ordinary valves under erosion and corrosion conditions |
| Leak-proof | Full-process inspection + multiple sealing designs | Reduce operation and maintenance costs, and eliminate safety accidents and environmental violations |
